Happy Sunday - we dodged the bullet on the snowstorm!  We had a light dusting this morning and nothing more all day - just windy and cold!  Thank goodness! :)

This card was created based off of this week's color challenge at Dynamic Duos - monochromatic pinks and Seize The Birthday - feminine birthday with a sketch.

Pretty simple design, but I felt it was missing something at the end - so I sprayed it with glitter spray!  Hey - every birthday card needs a little glitter - right! :)

Good Morning and Happy Saturday!  It is a lovely day here in Chicago - bright and sunny, but still cold!  I think it's the "silence before the storm" - they are predicting another snow storm, but it's too soon to tell if we'll get hit hard! Where is Spring?!?

This card was created based off of this week's color challenge at PDCC (gorgeous),  KIS' challenge - shaped card (fun) and my interpretation of FTL's sketch (I saw a camera) and Little Tangles - shaped card! :)

I drew my own camera image and cut it out of a 5.5(h)x4(w) card.  I added vellum for the lense and eye, added some ribbon and I also sprayed it with some glitter spray.

I have had this stamp set from SU for forever, and never have used it!  It's sad to say, but I have many stamps sets from all over that I have never inked up, and that is my goal for this year! :)

Happy, happy, happy Friday - I'm doing the happy dance!  The weekend has finally arrived and I couldn't be happier!  Three days away from the office is just what I need! :)  No big plans for the weekend - just catching up on house work and running errands and maybe a card or two or three! ;)

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you - a day when everyone is Irish!
We have our Corned Beef, Potato's and Carrots in the Crock Pot for later tonight, and not to forget our fresh Rye Bread from the bakery.  My husband is half Irish and I am 1/17th Irish, so we celebrate - minus the green beer! ;)

This afternoon, we are headed over to my Sister's house for a farewell party for my Nephew.  He has enlisted into the Army, and departs for Boot Camp this afternoon.  He is my sister's youngest son, and she is having a hard time with his decision.
Our entire family will be there to wish him luck and The Sister's (I have four) will all be there for his Mother! :)

Happy almost Thursday!!  The weekend is quickly approaching and my list is forever growing.  My daughter's bridal shower is the middle of April and my Sister and I are working out the final details.  The invitations go out tomorrow and we are getting more and more excited!  :)

It's me again with a quick post and run - off to the grocery store this morning! :)

This card was created based off of this week's sketch at Retro Sketches and Moxie Fab's Chevron Challenge.  I think the two go hand-in-hand don't you?  I turned the sketch because it gave me a wider space to work with.

I had these stamps from SU that I have never used and when I saw the Chevron Challenge - I thought TV.  I have no clue why, but hey it worked!  It's funny, I can remember this style television set with the rabbit ears!  Eeek.....I'm getting old!  Boy have we come a long way or what with flat screens and the quality of picture!

Good morning and Happy Sunday!  I hope you are enjoying your weekend.  It is a damp and rainy day here in Chicago, melting away the foot of snow we had earlier in the week.  Our backyard is like a swamp!  I keep reminding myself Spring is on it's way! :)

This card was created based off of this week's theme at Keep It Simple (KIS) - fruit,  and Less is More - a one layer card using spots and stripes.  Oh my goodness that is a challenge for me!
I have never made a one layer card - talk about nerve-racking!
Needless to say, it was a trial and error project! ;)

Happy Saturday!  A damp, grey and cloudy day here in Chicago.  They are predicting rain for today - just in time to wash away the foot of snow we had this week! :)

This card was created based off of this week's sketch at FMS, CFC's challenge to use color blocks and Moxie Fab's Camera Craze Challenge.  I don't know how I managed to get three challenges in for one card - but it happened! :)

TGIF - so happy it's Friday! :)  I was up early this morning and met my Sister for breakfast.  She is planning a bridal shower for my daughter, and we were ironing out the details - so exciting!

Happy Thursday!  Thursday's are always a happy day for me - it's the beginning of my weekend.  I put in my 40 hours Mon-Thursday and our office is closed for the weekend.  Tomorrow, I am meeting my sister for breakfast, and we are putting together the plans for my daughter's bridal shower.  Such an exciting time for all of us! :)

Hogs and Kisses - CTS17

Happy Monday almost Tuesday!  The Chicago area is under a severe snowstorm warning beginning at 3:00 a.m. tonight, and ending tomorrow night at midnight.  They are predicting an inch an hour with up to a foot of snow.  We are all headed to work in the morning, but I am sure we will get off by noon if the storm hits hard. :)

Good Morning and Happy Sunday!  It is a lovely morning here in Chicago - blue skies and sunshine, but still chilly.  I know Spring is near because I have heard the Cardinals singing, and
this same family of Cardinals show up every Spring.  My daughter and I have plans today to go to the Kane County Fair Grounds Antique Show.  It is the first Sunday of each month starting in March.  We are on the hunt for treasures for her wedding in June.

Just a quick post and run - Friday night pizza..yum! :)  This card was created based off of this week's color challenge at PDCC.
These colors are all the rage right now.  My daughter's wedding in June is based off of these colors - so fresh and pretty!  Lot's of peach flowers mixed with succulents.
