Dad - MOJO #139 and TSTR #10
TGIF!:) I had a fun-filled day babysitting my 4 year old nephew! It's days like these that I know why woman have babies when they're younger! I'm pooped! :)
This card was created based off of the sketch at MOJO and the inspirational photo at TSTR. I decided to stir a little bit off course and go with a different shade of blue....more on the turqoisey side and build off of that. Papers used are from October Afternoon, rubberstamped image, sentiment, button, twine and Kraft cardstock from Papertrey Ink. My favorite part of this card is the little mini flag at the top that I handstamped "dad".
Well, off to post my card. Have a great evening! Cathy xx :)

Birthday Wishes - CP#64 and Curtain Call 30
Good evening! My little Grandson Trevor came for a visit this evening and now that they are all gone and the dinner dishes are all cleaned up.....it's time for one more card! :D
This card was created off this weeks sketch at Card Patterns and the color scheme at Stacey's Stamping Stage. The color scheme was a real challenge for me. I was okay with the Kraft, black, white and pink, or the Kraft, black, white and orange. It was when you threw the light pink in with the orange that thru me for a loop. This was a tough one! So, what I ended up doing is using my orange Copic to fill in the center of all the pink flowers and use orange as a complimentary color with the twine and button. I won't even begin to tell you the trouble I had making my flower. Let's just put it this way.....stamping on tissue paper is not an easy task! :)
Hope you had a wonderful day - until tomorrow take care! Cathy xx :)

Happy 4th of July - JUGS #33
I know...I know....I've really jumped the gun on this one! Wishful thinking!!:)
This card was created based off of this weeks color challenge at Just Us Girls. You guessed it....Red, White and Blue. I didn't have any "Happy Memorial Day" or any other patriotic stamps, so I chose to go with the good ol' stand-by Happy 4th of July.
Lot's of scraps used here....Jenni Bowlin, etc. I sure kicked my pink addiction with this one - huh? Well, tomorrow is another day. Have a great evening! Cathy :)

Girly - You Rock! - Tuesday Trigger/Frills and Thrills
Happy Saturday! I had so much fun creating the entire day yesterday, but today I had to get one card in before I run to the grocery store, the cleaners and the bank. All the things I should have done yesterday! ;)
This card was created based on the inspirational photo at Moxie Fab World. The colors just screamed....50's! So, I decided to go with a 50's theme and found an old juke box stamp that I haven't used yet. I love when that happens - then I don't feel like such a hoarder! :)
The supplies that I used are: Kraft cardstock and rubberstamped sentiment from Papertrey Ink, jukebox and musical note stamps from Pink Cat Studio, ribbon from American Crafts, papers from Making Memories and Bo Bunny, misc. rhinestone adhesives.
Off to run my errands.........have a super Saturday! Cathy xx :)

Little One ~ Tag Booklet - City Crafter Challenge #3
This day has been full - family, great dinner and a wonderful dessert. A day to look around and see all that I am grateful for - I just love being a Mom and love being a Grandmother even more. The toughest job on earth and you don't really reap the rewards until later in life -when you can sit back and look at your adult children and know that they are going to do just fine with the tools that you have given them. :)
This tag booklet was created based off of City Crafters Challenge #3. This is where I first started......making little mini-scrapbooks. This was alot of fun to make, but I now realize why I will stick with card-making......instant gratification. This booklet took me hours!! :)
Tags and papers used from Daisy D and is choc-full of all kinds of wonderful goodies....chipboard, flowers, buttons, vintage photo's, shabby seam binding ribbon, resin frames, journaling spots, etc.
I hope you all had a wonderful day and let's hope the work week goes as quickly as this weekend did!! Cathy xx :)

With that being said.........this card was created using OCCSC's sketch #13 and Jazzy Paper Designs inspiration photo/colors. The rubberstamp I used (representing piano keys) is from A Muse Artstamps, paper from October Afternoon and 7Gypsies, buttons, twine and rubberstamped sentiment from Papertrey Ink.
