Happy 4th of July! Hope you have a day filled with celebration, b-que, family and friends! :)
This week at the Shabby Tea Room we are being sponsored by Pixie Petals. Be sure to visit her shop...I know you will find something to enhance your projects.! Also, our guest designer this week is none other than the lovely and creative Annabelle O'Malley. Be sure to visit her blog for oodles of inspiration! :)
This card was created based off of this weeks challenge at The Shabby Tea Room. The challenge......embossing, either heat or dry. I opted to go with the dry using cardstock from Coredinations. This paper works so well for this type of technique. I then sanded it to help make the embossed pattern stand out even more. The paper used is from Basic Grey, crocheted trim, rhinestone adhesives, twine and rubberstamped sentiment from Papertrey Ink, paper flower from Prima, diecut label from Spellbinders, embossing folder from Quickutz, and butterfly die from Quickutz.
I have to tell you......while using my embossing folder, I broke my Quickutz die-cutting tool! I was so mad....temporarily. This was an emergency - so I ran out to Archivers and ended up buying a larger one that will accomodate the larger dies that I have. Everything does happen for a reason! :)
Enjoy the holiday! Cathy xx :)

Absolutely STUNNING! I {heart} Coredinations CS and you used it perfectly with your design here, Cathy!! Wow ... a new toy! Lucky YOU :)
ReplyDeleteYour card is just beautiful, Cathy! I love the paper you used and the soft pastel palette. The lace down the center is lovely, and I adore that PTI sentiment. Fabulous job with the embossing, too.
ReplyDeleteCathy your card is so pretty! I love that dainty butterfly and the rhinestones around the label are the perfect touch! Sorry about your Quickutz die-cutting tool but it is always fun to go shopping, whatever the reason!
ReplyDeletePretty card! Love the bling around the sentiment! Another great card, this week! :)
ReplyDeleteCathy your card is beautiful! It wat the inspiration for my own card because pink is one of my favorite colors. And so is white!I decided to go for the combo of white and kraft....
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweet comment; have a wonderful day!
