Wow....can you believe the 4th of July is almost here already?  Maybe it's just me, but I don't even feel like summer has really arrived yet.  The weather certainly hasn't cooperated that's for sure.  It almost feels like Spring with an occasional blast of heat.  Oh well, hopefully it will warm up long enough so that we can actually swim in the pool without freezing! :)

This card was created for this week's challenge at PDCC.  I don't know where these girl's manage to come up with these beautiful photo's for inspiration - just hope they keep on coming! :)

just a note - TSTR #67

Happy Saturday and what a gorgeous day it is here today - finally!!  It is sunny, blue skies, slight breeze and in the low 70's.  What else could you ask for?

My little guy just left a little while ago, and I thought I would sit down a make a card or two.  This card was designed based off of this week's challenge at The Shabby Tea Room.  A beautiful photo for inspiration was given and we were asked to use the colors in the photo along with ginghams and polka dots. My favorite colors and patterns! :)

DP's used are from MME, paper flowers from Prima, cardstock,buttons,twine,tag diecuts and sentiments all from PTI, bakers twine from The Twinery, misc. vintage trim, seam binding ribbon, paper doily, chipboard frame and vintage image.

Yesss.....TGIF!  Another long week....and finally the weekend has arrived.  Any big plans this weekend?  My little Trevor Patrick (Grandson) is coming for a sleepover tonight.  I can't wait - any time away from him is too much!  At this age, everytime I see him, he has learned something new.  His Mommy (Kelsey) said he learned a "bad word" this week......"mine"! :)

Happy Sunday to you!  I hope you all had a great day celebrating Father's Day with your Dad's, hubby, etc.  My Father lives a few hundred miles south from me - so he received a phone call and my DH has been out all day referring LaCrosse.  We will celebrate with a yummy dinner when he gets home! :)

This card was created based off of VLVJUN sketch #2, Wee Memories - celebration, and Mona's beautiful colors she chose for us to work with this week at CR84FN.  These color's remind me of a beautiful summer day like today! :)

Yes....I know!  How often is it that I actually post two cards in one day?  I actually had time this evening to fit this one in for this week's sketch at Card Patterns.  This sketch is awesome - and so were the DT's inspiration! :)
