We were one of the lucky ones and only suffered for less than 24 hours, but still ended up throwing away alot of food.
The weather prediction for the weekend is hot and steamy. I only pray that the electric is up and running soon for those without!
This card was created for this week's challenge at The Shabby Tea Room - Flower Power. Have you ever noted just how many different types of flowers scrapbookers and cardmakers use? Each and everyone of them unique and beautiful! :)
DP's from Graphic45 and American Crafts, cardstock, and felt from PTI, misc. seam binding ribbon, decorative pins, vintage image, flower and vintage button.
Thanks for taking a peek - have a great weekend and keep cool! Cathy xx :)
Fab and delicate card! Love your flower! And I'm sorry to hear about the power cut, hope everything is back to normal real soon!
ReplyDeleteWonderful fun card. Your colors and layers are so pretty. Good luck with the challenge
ReplyDeleteYour card is lovely! Very pretty!! I am glad that you are ok. That stinks about all the food though, but it could of been worse, right?! Stay Cool! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for joining us this week at The Shabby Tea Room!
Hugs...

Gorgeous, Cathy ... simply beautiful!!! So glad you're okay after the storms rolled through. It's been hot and dry here -- we vacationed in Myrtle Beach, SC last week -- about 3 hours south of where we live and it was 90's and 100's each day. We have a tiny reprieve this week here in NC with temps in the lovely 80's and low humidity, which is unheard of for July in the south, but next week it's back up to 90's and 100's with high humidity -- lovely! Sounds like I'll be at the pool and lake a lot! Happy you joined the fun in the Tea Room :)
ReplyDeleteI love the fact that you repeated the touch of pink in the flower basket on the bike and in your flowers. It's so gorgeous. Your card is fabulous; these soft colors are my favorites.
ReplyDeleteToo bad you hit a storm and lost power. And food...
It's no effort at all to stay cool here in The Netherlands. Last week it looked as if fall has arrived. Storm, lots of wind and rain and again today; it has been raining off and on. Yikes!
Hugs!
