Good morning and a happy Monday to you! Are you ready for another fun challenge from The Shabby Tea Room? I know that as a follower, I always looked forward to Mondays, and a new challenge! :)
Well, with that being said......this week's challenge you have been given a much different photo for inspiration from last week, and asked to use metal in your creation. Easy peasey! :) Our sponsor this week is Some Odd Girl . If you haven't had a chance to check them out, please do! They have some of the most fun and whimsical digital images! They were very generous and supplied us with our choice of a digital image - I chose "hoot".
This was a challenge for me because (a) I don't consider myself a stamper, (b) these colors are totally outside the box for me - as is this type of design, and (c) I am very new to using Copics. No pink, no pearls, no shabby seam binding ribbon - I am having serious withdrawls! :) Hopefully, next week!
Papers used are from Imaginisce, ribbon, button, twine and cardstock from Papertrey Ink, misc. photo turns and Copics of course!
Looking for more inspiration.....please take a peek at all the other "Shabby Girls" designs for this week!

Yep, outside the 'box' for me too! You did a fabulous job on the design and coloring! Absolutely cute :)
ReplyDeleteWell, you did a fabulous job with your "out-of-the-box" card, Cathy! I really love the papers and the neutral color palette, and your coloring job on Hoot is wonderful. How fun that we chose the same image! I love your big bow and adore the sentiment on the side. Great job!
ReplyDeleteYou crack me up girl! :)
ReplyDeleteI totally understand what you are saying. I have used some digi images for DT cards and it can be very hard to make them work when you are not use to it. I think it is getting a little easier. This is adorable though. Kinda has a fall feel.
Outside "your box", new into coloring but really; the final result is beautiful. I think you've made a wonderful card!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute, love the colours!!!
ReplyDeleteI really like your card! it gives me a feeling of fall! Love the cute owl! Have a great day!
