Todays entry will have two parts; one dedicated to this week's sketch at CPS #156 and the second to Prima. This card was created for this weeks sketch at CPS #156. I have totally fallen head-over-heals for Prima's new releases. I am going to use every last yummy morsel!! Paper used from Prima, and the scalloped border at the top is some vintage notebook paper that I picked up on my honeymoon. Crocheted trim, ribbon from Papertry, velvet forget-me-nots, pearl adhesives, chipboard frame that has been painted and glittered, vintage image from Crafty Secrets, mini tag and handstamped flourish. I am quite pleased with the end results - after many attempts it finally came together.
Now..........for the big scoop!! Prima has just announced that they have a big surprise in store for all of us. They are being very hush, hush but promise that we won't be disappointed. Has Prima ever disappointed? I think not!! I can hardly wait to see what's behind the curtain and if it is anything like their latest release....I am licking my chops! :) Be sure to visit their site and check out the big news yourself - leave a comment and post it on your blog for a chance to win a super-duper prize worth $100.00.
That's it for now, but I want to thank you all for all your lovely compliments! It's truly appreciated! Have a wonderful week and happy creating! Cathy :)

Easter Wishes - CPS #155
Looking out my window on this cold and windy Sunday evening, the snow covering everything in a soft white blanket, one may wonder why I chose to make an Easter card. Looking thru my collection of newly purchased papers.........I once again reached for this beautiful shabby collection from Prima. The soft Robin-egg's blue and the washed out pinks it just shouted SPRING! CPS made it very easy to design by using this weeks sketch #155.
This card was created using Prima's Shabby Chic line, Martha Stewarts paper doily, rhinestone adhesives, handstamped sentiment from Papertry Ink, distressing ink from Tim Holtz, scruched and dyed silk seam binding, decorative pin from Maya Road, and vintage image.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek - have a great week! Cathy :)

~Prima Picks~
It's the most wonderful time of the year..........CHA and Prima! Out with the old and in with the new! All those wonderful cliche's truly apply to Prima's debut of their Shabby Chic line! I am one of the very lucky, who has had the opportunity to purchase pieces from this line of which I designed this card. I absolutely love this line, and when I went back for seconds, it was already sold out. No need to fret.......I am on a waiting list. A superb shabby line - kudo's to you Prima!!!!
This card was created using papers from Prima's Shabby Chic line, Melissa Frances resin corner, Martha Stewart silk ribbon and doily,
Maya Road decorative pin, misc. crocheted trim, Tim Holtz distressing ink and vintage image from Blackberry Designs. Handstamped sentiment using Papertrey Ink stamps.
This is just the beginning of what I have in store for you using these beautiful papers. I also picked up some dreamy paper roses, and the pearl and rose swirls.
I also want to let you in on a little secret for those of you who don't know......Prima's Fairtytale roses (white) are wonderful when using GlimmerMist by Tattered Angels. A little spritz here and a little spritz there and voila' you can have any shade of rose you want. Give it a try!
Have a wonderful weekend and happy creating! Cathy :)

"Many are The Stars I see,....
but in my eye no star like thee". Although, some think of Valentine's Day as yet another Hallmark holiday, I think of it as a day where we recognize the one we love. A special day set aside from the rest of the 365 days, where we take the time to make that someone feel extra-special. My DH would argue that point because he said that I make him feel very special everyday! It isn't hard for me because he is - very special. I love him with all my heart, soul, mind and body. He is my best friend, lover and soulmate. I am so lucky to have him in my life! :)
With all of that said, I am sad to see Valentine's Day come to an end. All those yummy pinks, hearts, flowers, and glitter that I so love to work with. Time to move on to Spring! Flowers and bright colors.
I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day - Cathy :)
