happy day - FMS88

TGIF!  I was able to slip one card in yesterday after my DD and I spent the day running last minute errands and having our mani/pedi's and then having lunch together.  After that we came home and we packed up her car with what wedding items were still here and off she went to her fiances' hometown.  We will join them all this afternoon when we check in, and then rehearsal will be later in the day. I can't believe her wedding day has finally arrived!  Bittersweet! :)

This card was created based off of this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  I switched it up a bit to fit my image! ;)

I apologize for not being able to visit your blogs and comment this week.  As you are reading this, I am on my way out-of-town to my daughter's wedding that will take place on Saturday, and then leaving with them on Monday for Pennsylvania to help them get settled.  My future SIL was accepted to Penn State's Residency Program in Plastic/Reconstructive Surgery.  So as you can see, I am going to be quite busy for the next couple of weeks, but I will certainly be here in spirit! :)

Happy Saturday - I hope your day is going well!  We are on a countdown here......one week from today and my daughter will be a Mrs! :)  We have alot planned for today - lots of running around, but I wanted to get atleast one card in for the day, and who knows - it maybe for the weekend!

This card was created based off of this week's sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  I thought this sketch was perfect for this darling image from Whimsy and Stars Studio.  My friend Lesley told me about a DT Call that they were having, and when I saw the images....I just have to have a few! I have a little nephew who recently started Karate and absolutely loves it!  I can see how much this sport has really helped his self-esteem and discipline - amazing!

Ahoy and Happy Saturday!  Hope your weekend is going great!  We are having the most perfect weather here today in Chicago - sunny, blue and in the 80's...finally!!!

My daughter and I have been running around just about the entire day trying to tie up loose ends for her wedding - countdown......2 weeks from today, but now its time to play!

This card was created based off of this week's sketch at The Sweet Stop.  I didn't realize until after I made this card that there was a spin - Going Buggy - sorry! :(  Next time, I will read a little closer!

Happy Saturday!  It was a wonderful day - we attended my "very future" son-in-law's graduation from University of Illinois Medical School! Yes....we have a doctor in the family! :)  We are all so very proud of him, and of my daughter for supporting him thru it all.  They both have worked so hard!  The wedding is less than a month away, and so much to do with so little time!

This card was created based off of this week's sketch at Retro Sketches and LIM - Colour Challenge.  We were instructed to use TWO opposite colours from this Colour Wheel.  I chose orange and blue.
