For You - EBTKS #14

Happy Mothers Day to all of you! I just received a wonderful gift from my DH.....a gift card to my favorite scrapbook store! Oh, he knows me so well! :)

This card was designed based off of EBTKS's challenge #14 - envelopes. I have had these envelopes lying around for sometime, and I am so happy that I finally got to use them. I shabby'd them up a bit with some white paint and embellished them with all my favorites.....pearls, trim, flower, shabby seam binding ribbon, twine, tag and diecut leaves. I am quite pleased with the way this card turned out and I think I just may make another one! :)

Well, I hope you have a wonderful day with your family. My kid's will be home later and one little Grandchild who will make this Mother's Day even more special. :) Cathy xx

Live laugh Love - Mojo #138

Just a quick post and dash ~ this card was designed based off of this weeks sketch #138 at Mojo Monday. What a fun sketch - many, many possibilities.

The papers that I used are from Fancy Pants, vintage frame (unknown), paper flower and pearl adhesives from Prima, twine, buttons and rubberstamp sentiment from Papertrey Ink. Certainly different than most of the cards listed, but it is my interpretation none-the-less! :) I just hope it isn't too much over the top.

Back to the table and hopefully good for a couple more! I hope you have a relaxing evening doing what you like best - Cathy xx :)

You Make me Smile - Guest Designer - CP#63

Happy Saturday! Hope your day is going well. I am so excited to share with you that..... I am the Guest Designer this week at Card Patterns!! What a wonderful source of inspiration they have to offer each week and to be a part of that this week is such an honor! Thank you all at Card Patterns. :)

This card was based off of this weeks sketch #63. Papers used are from Little Yellow Bicycle, buttons and sentiment from Papertrey Ink, decorative pin from Maya Road, misc. rhinestone adhesives, shabby seam binding ribbon and vintage trim all have been added. My little handmade roses were made from a vintage sewing pattern. I have been experimenting with this paper and all though it is "flimsy" and took a few tries - it finally came together.

I hope you have a wonderful day - and if you find time head over to Card Patterns and give this weeks sketch a try! See you soon, Cathy xx :)
